Hilfiker goes 3-for-4 as Octopi Squeeze Past San Diego
|
Ogallala first baseman Lauren Hilfiker had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the San Diego Clippers, 4-3. After today's action, Ogallala sits at 21-14, while San Diego falls to 18-17.
Hilfiker had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 changeup from Pascal Bourdon, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Octopi a 4-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Hilfiker.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Hilfiker said.
