Hickford Rips San Diego for 5 Hits
|
Eddie Hickford put on a hitting clinic today as the Tulsa Otters dumped the San Diego Clippers 13-2 at Mean Green Ballpark.
The Tulsa center fielder made San Diego defenders earn their pay, lashing San Diego pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Hickford said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Eddie Hickford singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
