The San Diego Clippers did just enough to sneak past the Tulsa Otters, 4-3, at Mean Green Ballpark. San Diego third baseman Cleveland Mortimer earned player of the game honors. San Diego reliever Pascal Bourdon was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Tom Lee. At 14-12, San Diego is in 4th place in the Premier R.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Mortimer hit a fastball from Tom Lee for a solo home run. The Clippers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Both teams played hard," said San Diego manager Dexter Shannon.
