Tulsa Otters starter Victor Heuvelink had all his pitches working at Mean Green Ballpark. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 10-1 Tulsa win over the San Diego Clippers. Heuvelink, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. David Lum earned the save for Tulsa, his 1st.
The Otters got a big at-bat from catcher Luke Rouco. For the game, Rouco went 2-5 with a double, while adding 4 RBI. In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 3rd double of the season gave Tulsa a 3-0 lead.
"Enjoyed this one," Heuvelink told the Tulsa Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
