Fort Knox starter Aldo Ottens pitched effectively against the San Diego Clippers at Ballpark of Baxter. The right-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. Earning his 2nd save for Fort Knox was Jacob Swanson. The win brings the Centennial to 10-8, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Fort Knox grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Ricardo Varela delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 1-0 in favor of the Centennial.
Ottens told a Fort Knox Citizen reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
