Interns Squelch Otters Offense in Shutout Win
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Capital Hill Interns topped the Tulsa Otters by the score of 4-0, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Tom Washington. Washington went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Interns on the day. The Otters fall to 6-11 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2034 season.
Washington had a key at-bat for Capital Hill early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Capital Hill an early 4-0 lead.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Washington said after the game.
