Snowpeople Prevail, 7-5, Over San Diego
|
San Diego catcher Luis López had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-5, to Ellesmere Island at Corpus Christi Grounds. López went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Lucas Gameiro closed the door for Ellesmere Island, picking up his 4th save of the year. The win leaves Ellesmere Island with a record of 7-5.
Ellesmere Island took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Luigino Colombo hit a 2-run single to make it 7-5, Snowpeople.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Colombo said.
