Clippers Come Up Short at Ellesmere Island
Behind a solid performance from catcher Feng-yi Wen, the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople defeated the San Diego Clippers, 4-3. Wen was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Snowpeople. Albert Johnston was credited with the save for Ellesmere Island, his 1st of the season. Ellesmere Island is now 6-4.

Wen had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Jerry Cherry, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Snowpeople a 4-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Wen.

"If we keep winning the close games," Wen said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
