The San Diego Clippers topped the Capital Hill Interns, 6-2, in USPL Rookie action at Alouettes Ballpark. The player of the game was San Diego pitcher and Rosarito, Mexico native Eduardo Tovar. Pascal Bourdon closed the door for San Diego, picking up his 1st save of the year. The Clippers raised their record to 6-3.

Tony Worley's at-bat in the top of the seventh inning was a big one for San Diego. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and San Diego leading 2-1, the center fielder got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run.

"We did a lot of things right," said Tovar.
