The Memphis Music picked up a win at Mammoths Ballpark, knocking off the Fort Knox Centennial, 1-0. Starting pitcher Marcos Germán was an essential part of his team's success. Memphis has a record of 4-3.
The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Ethan Brierley came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Fort Knox pitcher Kuang-yin Tsou, he hit a 1-2 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Memphis on top, 1-0.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Memphis manager Jason Stewart.
