The San Diego Clippers did just enough to sneak past the Valley View Cougars, 4-3, at Mean Green Ballpark. San Diego pitcher Jerry Cherry earned player of the game honors. The win was credited to César Sandoval in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Peter Routledge took the loss. With the win, San Diego improves its record to 4-0.

Nathan McDonald was one of the major contributors to the win for San Diego. The light-hitting pinch hitter stroked a single to left in the bottom of the ninth inning. For the day, he went 1-1.
