Florencio Delivers Walk-Off Win for Torch
|
Washington got a terrific performance from pitcher Dan Craggs, but it wasn't enough to beat the Mancelona Torch. Mancelona won the Torch Field contest, 3-2. Craggs was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball. Mancelona reliever Raúl Hinojosa got the win, raising his record to 4-2. Ryan Carr was tagged with the loss. The Generals, at 42-52, have lost 4 straight games.
Magtanggol Florencio hit a run-scoring triple off Ryan Carr in the bottom of the 12th, which put the Torch in front, 3-2. In addition to the triple, Florencio had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 5.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Florencio. "And not try to do too much."
