|
The inspired effort of Washington third baseman Ashton Bailey was not enough to prevent a 4-3 loss to the Galesburg Guzzlers. Bailey went 4-4 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI. Galesburg reliever Vicente Mota picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Ryan Carr was saddled with the loss. Zach Pae was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 2 save opportunities.
Jeremy Migliorati contributed to the Galesburg win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Migliorati said.
Galesburg is now 36-55.
