Cruz Dazzles in Mancelona Win
|
The Mancelona Torch went home winners at Carrier Field, thanks in large part to starter Enrique Cruz. Cruz silenced the Delaware 1787 BC, enabling Mancelona to grab the 2-1 win. Melvin Conner notched his 15th save in 17 chances. Mancelona now sits in 8th place in the Premier A at 37-51.
Cruz scattered 5 hits over 8 innings for the Torch. With the win, Cruz moves to 7-4 on the year with 107 strikeouts.
"We'll savor this win," Cruz told the Mancelona Herald, "then get ready for the next game."
