BC Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Darwin Watson never let the Blaze get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his change up, to pitch the BC to a 2-1 win. Put-In-Bay reliever Greg Stavros picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Devoid Couch was collared with the loss. The BC' win now puts them at 27-23.
Late in the game, left fielder Matous Sicak had a big at-bat for Put-In-Bay. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring double off Devoid Couch. The play gave the BC a 2-1 lead.
In postgame comments, Sicak said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
