The Galesburg Guzzlers got a good effort from starter Stan Sweeney in defeating the Put-In-Bay BC at Put-In-Bay Ballpark. The final score was 3-2. Galesburg reliever Jian-gun Fei picked up the win to move to 2-1. Fernando Colón suffered the loss. Galesburg is now 16-26, Put-In-Bay 22-20.

Had Eric Soto not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Soto hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Guzzlers.

"I liked his command," said Galesburg manager Craig Sunter. "Stan was throwing strikes."
