Cruz Dazzles in Mancelona Win
Enrique Cruz never let the Blue Sox get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Torch to a 2-0 win. Melvin Conner closed the game out for Mancelona, earning his 5th save. Even with the win, the Torch have a dismal 13-25 record.

The Blue Sox had trouble solving Cruz, who surrendered no earned runs on 1 hit over 7.2 innings.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Cruz. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
