Walleye Win Again, Extend Streak to 10
|
The Walla Walla Walleye scored a 4-3 win versus the South Beach Blaze at The Ballpark on the Beach. Walla Walla pitcher Hwen-thiang Goei nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Goei went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-1. The first-place Walleye have a one-game lead in their division.
Andrés Rodríguez helped out the Walla Walla cause in the top of the eighth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1 for 1. He drove in 2 runs.
