The South Beach Blaze did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Delaware 1787 BC at The Ballpark on the Beach. Nobody did more than pitcher Shalom Levasier, who captured player of the game honors. South Beach reliever Devoid Couch was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Guillermo Santana. With the win, South Beach goes to 17-8, while the 1787 BC fall to 17-8.

South Beach won the game in the bottom of the 14th inning. With one out and Guillermo Santana on the mound for Delaware, left fielder Dave Broom hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Blaze fans to their feet.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" South Beach manager Vicente Presilla said.
