Late Rally by Generals Secures Win
The Generals faced a stiff challenge from Valley pitcher Markus Martin, but persevered to claim a win at Washington Park. The final score was 5-4. Martin went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The win puts the Generals at 6-17, while the Blue Sox drop to 14-9.

Chip Mullaney was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Generals center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Valley manager Willis Crawford said following the tough loss.
