Put-In-Bay beat Chicago at Ramblers Ballpark, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to second baseman Louie Shufflebotham, who earned player of the game honors. Jason Huggins got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits in 5.1 innings. Paul Zucarelli earned the save, his 2nd, for the BC.

Al Grant helped out the Put-In-Bay cause in the top of the first inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Chicago manager Marcus Terry. "But we decided not to take it."

The loss drops Chicago to 3-4.
