Uribe Dazzles in Valley Win
|
Ignacio Uribe never let the Torch get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Blue Sox to a 2-1 win. Tom Holloway closed the game out for Valley, earning his 1st save. The Blue Sox keep rolling, raising their record to 5-1.
Uribe was in the zone all game. He frustrated Mancelona hitters while giving the Blue Sox 8 innings of quality work. Uribe threw 90 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 6 punchouts.
"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Uribe. "The only team that can beat us is us."
