The Athletic Club KC U-24 eked out a 5-4 win versus the Kennesaw Jets at ACKC Youth Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Francisco González, who captured player of the game honors. Ozamataz Buckshank earned the save, his 15th. Athletic Club KC, at 41-55, sits in 8th place in the Silver A.
Miguel Gómez had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the seventh for the U-24. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Athletic Club KC trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run triple.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Gómez said.
