Jets Slip Past York, 6-5

Eric Thomas did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the York Revolution from losing, 6-5, to the Kennesaw Jets at Jets Stadium. Thomas went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Kennesaw reliever Robert Karabanov picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Júlio Antunez shouldered the loss. The Jets, at 53-36, have now won 5 straight.
Late in the game, catcher Joam Francia had a big at-bat for Kennesaw. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single off Júlio Antunez. The play gave the Jets a 6-5 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Francia.
