Jets Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Kennesaw played host to York at the friendly confines of Jets Stadium.
Kennesaw Jets starter Willis Pittman was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the York Revolution, 4-3. Pittman, now 4-3, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 11, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run.
One of the key players for the Jets was left fielder Cary Beswich, who drilled a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the game, Beswich was 1 for 3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Kennesaw skipper António Sáenz. "I can't complain."
