The Boston Patriots topped the D.C. Divided, 4-0, in United States Premier League action at Dunkin Donuts Park. The player of the game was Boston pitcher Manuel Sánchez. Sánchez, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 3 walks. The Patriots keep rolling, raising their record to 8-4.

Kantaro Taniguchi had a big 2-run double for the Patriots in the bottom of the third inning. With Boston leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Domingo Montémayor and stroked the double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Patriots ahead, 3-0.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Sánchez. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
