Yellowknife Dragonblood starter Ismael Riddles turned in a sterling performance against the Gwinnett County Black Cats, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Riddles went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 5-4. Yellowknife currently is in third place in the Silver A at 53-33.
Jeff Reed, who is tied for 6th in the SA in runs scored with 49, helped out the Yellowknife cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 4.
Afterward, Dragonblood manager Andha Gangulee was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
