Riddles, Yellowknife Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
The Yellowknife Dragonblood went home winners at Hotspur Kiddie Complex, thanks in large part to starter Ismael Riddles. Riddles silenced the Phoenix Hotspur U-21, enabling Yellowknife to grab the 2-0 win. Doug Lane was credited with the save for Yellowknife, his 17th of the season. Phoenix's current losing streak is now 7 games.
Riddles, who was born in Hartselle, Alabama, threw 101 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing no earned runs.
"It's a mindset," said Riddles. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
