Victory Pushes Storm Record to 43-19
|
Syracuse Storm starter Joe Holland turned in a top-notch performance against the Connetquot Chiefs at Storm Park. The result was a win for the Storm, 6-2. Holland got the win, improving to 10-1. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Holland allowed 2 earned runs. The Storm have an impressive 43-19 record.
Wilson Hernández helped out the Syracuse cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Hernández, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
