Tom Matthews helped his team muscle past the Kennesaw Jets, 12-2. In the game, the Yellowknife designated hitter was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once. Erik Illescas, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 7-0. With the win, the Dragonblood improved to 41-20.
Matthews had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the seventh, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Dragonblood went on to win.
