Expos Fall Short, 6-5, at Phoenix
|
Tyler Hannah helped his team muscle past the Niagara Falls Expos, 6-5. In the game, the Phoenix second baseman was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Mason Beaupit finished to wrap up his 2nd save. With the win, Phoenix goes to 30-30, while the Expos fall to 22-38.
Hannah contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Phoenix in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 3-2, Hannah took a cutter from Tung-chi Ran and stroked the home run to left. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Hotspur U-21 to leap in front, 5-3.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Niagara Falls manager Dave Ross. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
