|
Yellowknife starter Valentin Calhamar put a stranglehold on the Niagara Falls offense. The right-hander had complete command of his circle change in leading the Dragonblood to a 7-1 win. Yellowknife has an impressive 39-18 record.
Yellowknife center fielder Jeff Reed made his contribution to the Dragonblood cause with a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning. For the day, Reed was 2-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Reed told reporters after the game.
