Victory Over Hotspur U-21 Takes Yellowknife to 37-17
|
Yellowknife played host to Phoenix at the friendly confines of The Dragon Den.
Yellowknife starter Guus Danen pitched effectively against the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 at The Dragon Den. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Danen went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-1.
Yellowknife shortstop Ricardo Mireles helped the Dragonblood to the win. In the bottom of the first inning, the 21-year old center fielder stroked a 2-run single. For the game, Mireles went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"It feels good to get this one," Danen told the Yellowknife Herald.
Yellowknife has an impressive 37-17 record.
