Behind a solid performance from center fielder Barry Flauker, the Niagara Falls Expos defeated the Connetquot Chiefs, 2-0. Flauker was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Expos. Niagara Falls reliever Yen-ti Xiang was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Garth Donovan took the loss for Connetquot. The save went to António Jiménez, his 1st this season.
Flauker had a key at-bat for Niagara Falls early in the game. With a runner on 3rd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and gave Niagara Falls an early 2-0 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Flauker.
