A 5-RBI performance from designated hitter Tom Matthews led the Yellowknife Dragonblood to a 8-1 win over the Connetquot Chiefs. Connetquot has now lost 5 straight.

Matthews had a key at-bat for Yellowknife early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 6th double of the season and gave Yellowknife an early 2-1 lead.

"The more wins we pile up," said Matthews, "the more I like our chances."
