Multi-HR Day for Goodman as Storm Overpower Expos, 6-4
|
A 6-RBI performance from Dale Goodman, who leads the SA in total bases with 69, helped the Syracuse Storm beat the Niagara Falls Expos, 6-4. Syracuse reliever Naozane Nakamura got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Tung-chi Ran was tagged with the loss. Pancho Chacón got credit for the save for Syracuse. It was his 6th of the year.
Goodman contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Syracuse in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-0, Goodman took a fastball from Tung-chi Ran and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Storm to leap in front, 4-3.
"Feels good to get the job done," Goodman said after the game.
Syracuse has an impressive 24-11 record.
