Jets Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Nebraska Plainsmen and Kennesaw Jets.
The Kennesaw Jets topped the Nebraska Plainsmen, 3-1, in USSL Single A action at Jets Stadium. The player of the game was Kennesaw pitcher Willis Pittman. The winning pitcher was Pittman, now 1-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8.
Conor Culver had a big run-scoring single for the Jets in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Kennesaw leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Mark Parker and stroked the single to left. It was his 8th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jets ahead, 2-0.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Culver.
Kennesaw is now riding a 3-game win streak.
