Jets Turn Back Yellowknife, 4-2
|
The Kennesaw Jets bested the Yellowknife Dragonblood by a score of 4-2, with shortstop Alain Grosjean getting the main credit. On the day, Grosjean was 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Jets. Earning his 2nd save for Kennesaw was Suhaila Zainuddin. Losses have been few and far between for the Dragonblood so far this season. Their record drops to 10-5.
Kennesaw took a 3-2 lead on Del Truscott's 15th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Truscott hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Yellowknife pitcher Joe Albright shaking his head.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Truscott.
