Syracuse Wins 7-5 to Continue Red Hot Start

It was a good time at Storm Park, where fans came to watch the Connetquot Chiefs and Syracuse Storm get after it.
Syracuse starter Joe Holland pitched effectively against the Connetquot Chiefs at Storm Park. The right-hander led his team to a 7-5 win. Holland, now 2-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 4 earned runs.
The Storm got a big at-bat from center fielder Dale Goodman. For the game, Goodman was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the seventh, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Syracuse a 5-4 lead.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Syracuse manager Brian Fowler.
The Storm, now 11-3, have been on fire in the early going.
