Hopdown has 3 hit night in Jets Win
|
The Kennesaw Jets bested the Yellowknife Dragonblood by a score of 8-5, with shortstop Jason Hopdown getting the main credit. On the day, Hopdown was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs for the Jets. The Jets are off to an underwhelming start as they look to defend their championship, notching only their 6th win in 14 games.
Meester Gobbles-Rooster had a big run-scoring single for the Jets in the bottom of the third inning. With Kennesaw trailing 4-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from Ismael Riddles and stroked the single to left. It was his 13th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jets ahead, 4-3.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Hopdown.
