Fans who came to Waterfall Park watched the Niagara Falls Expos and the Kennesaw Jets fight to the finish.

The Niagara Falls Expos defeated the Kennesaw Jets, 2-1, in USSL Single A action at Waterfall Park, with Niagara Falls pitcher Tung-chi Ran named player of the game. The winning pitcher was Ran, now 1-0. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 6. Nino Ghannam picked up the save, his 2nd.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the fifth, with the game tied, Qi-chao Di was at the plate when Niagara Falls scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Expos to go in front, 2-1.

"I really like what we did out there today," Ran said after the game.

The Expos raised their record to 2-3.
