Jets Solve Revolution, 5-4
|
The Kennesaw Jets topped the York Revolution by the score of 5-4, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Meester Gobbles-Rooster. Gobbles-Rooster was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Jets. Dennis Bly got credit for the save for Kennesaw. It was his 1st of the year. The defending champion Jets are off to a horrible start to the season, notching only their 1st win in 3 games.
Gobbles-Rooster contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Kennesaw in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-1, Gobbles-Rooster took a changeup from Knud Herrewijn and stroked the home run to center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Jets to leap in front, 5-4.
