Louisiana left-hander Javier Vallejo pitched his team to a shutout win, 2-0, over the Mt. Vernon Bulls. Edmond McCord earned the save, his 21st. Louisiana is 44-33 and Mt. Vernon, with the loss, 35-42.
Javier Seco helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Louisiana a 1-0 lead.
