Highwood got a terrific game from second baseman Scott Miles. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Columbia, 9-6. Miles was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The River Rats have now won 4 straight.

Tae-wan Park had the most critical at-bat for Columbia. With one in the top of the ninth inning, Park hit a 1-2 slider from Cliff Watson for a 2-run triple. It put Columbia in front, 8-6.

"We got the victory," said Park. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
