Victory Pushes River Rats Record to 15-12
|
Columbia starter Wayne Quint had a strong outing against the Mt. Vernon Bulls at Ballpark of Mt. Vernon. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-4 win. Columbia now sits at 15-12, while Mt. Vernon falls to 11-16.
One of the key players for the River Rats was left fielder King Rutledge, who drilled a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning. For the game, Rutledge was 2 for 3 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Columbia manager Greg Keys.
