Vibes Squelch Chukars Offense in Shutout Win
|
Rocky Mountain played host to Idaho Falls at the friendly confines of Bellevue Field.
The Rocky Mountain Vibes got a good effort from starter Júlio Díaz in defeating the Idaho Falls Chukars at Bellevue Field. The final score was 3-0. Díaz picked up the win for Rocky Mountain, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. Picking up the save was Maurice Hilliard, his 6th.
Ken Paige aided the Rocky Mountain cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
"We played hard and won," said Díaz. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
The Chukars, now 6-18, have lost 7 straight.
