The Boston Patriots defeated the Chicago Gold Sox, 12-5, at Gold Sox Field today. Leading the charge for Boston was left fielder Manuel Carmona. He was 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Natalino Golaio got the win, improving to 10-2. He worked 6 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. The Patriots now have a record of 57-45 with the win over Chicago.
Boston first baseman Jorge Alejándrez delivered a 3-run home run in the top of the first. Overall, he went 3 for 5, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 3.
