Riding the 4-hit performance of the 24-year old second baseman Al Ellis, the Myrtle Beach Seahawks stopped the Idaho Falls Chukars, 4-1. António García got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 3 hits and no runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Juan Espinosa was credited with the save for Myrtle Beach, his 3rd of the season.
Ellis had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Seahawks went on to win.
"We put together a nice win," Ellis said.
The loss drops Idaho Falls to 5-11.
