Fur Traders Stay Hot, Beat Screaming Eagles
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles got a superb performance from pitcher Dan Taylor. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Tacoma. The Fur Traders won the game, 4-2. In spite of the loss, Taylor was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Jeffrey Chesser nailed down his 26th save. The 7th-place Fur Traders now have a 5-game winning streak.

In the top of the third, Ricardo Sandoval hit a 2-run double for Tacoma. The 7th double of the season for the Tacoma center fielder put the Fur Traders on top, 2-1.

"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Sandoval. "Just do my job."
