Love Boats Get Close Win Over Silver Sox
|
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats stopped the Reno Silver Sox, 4-3, at Tennille Grounds. The Love Boats got a big game from Juan Ramírez, who went 2-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times. Harry Stogsdill, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 9th save. Lake Minnetonka is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Lake Minnetonka catcher Guillermo Carrizales changed the complexion of the game in the top of the sixth inning. That's when he belted a 3-run home run off Dale Snider. His 10th home run of the season put Lake Minnetonka in front, 3-2.
"Both teams played hard," said Lake Minnetonka manager Chip Bishop.
